Belfast dog owners fined over offences

A number of dog owners have been fined for allowing their pets to stray and not having valid dog licences.

Katrina Bradley, of Ligoneil Road, was prosecuted after her dog was found straying at Mill Valley Road in March. She was fined £30, plus £30 for no licence and was ordered to pay £66 in court costs.

Louise Hunter, of York Road, was fined £40 for her Jack Russell terrier straying on the York Road in April, £20 for no dog licence and £66 court costs.

Natasha Garrett of Silverstream Crescent was fined £40 for her dog straying at Ballysillan Road in May, £20 for having no licence and £66 court costs.

Laura Walsh, of Willowvale Gardens, was fined £60 for having no licence for her two dogs and Raffi Ullah of Oldpark Road, was fined £60 for having no licence for his two dogs in April. Both had to pay £66 costs.

All the prosecutions were brought by Belfast City Council.
