Belfast landlord's bid for super council election

A Belfast landlord is standing in May's council elections for the SDLP.

Declan Boyle, chairman of the Landlords' Association of Northern Ireland, is one of the party's candidates for the new Belfast super council.

He is aiming to take a seat in Botanic where he is running on the party ticket with veteran SDLP councillor Pat McCarthy.

He said the major issue of his campaign would be the high rate bills people face in south Belfast.
