Belfast M2 crash was hit-and-run, say police

A four-vehicle crash that caused traffic chaos on the M2 in Belfast on Wednesday was a hit-and-run, police have said.

The crash happened just before 2pm on the M2 city-bound at Nelson Street.

An emergency crew and paramedics were dispatched from the Ambulance Service, however no one was taken to hospital.

The road was partially closed for almost three hours hours while the crash was cleared.

Police said two of the vehicles involved were a grey Audi A1 and a white Peugeot.

Anyone who witnessed the hit-and-run, or captured it on their dash cam, has been urged to contact police on 101.
