Belfast man has knife held to his throat after disturbing burglar in his home
A man had a knife held to his throat after he disturbed a burglar ransacking his home in east Belfast
At around 9pm the man, aged in his 30s, returned to his house in the Trillick Street area to find an unknown man ransacking it.
The male intruder threatened the man and held a knife to his throat before making off on foot.
He is described as being in his late 20s or early 30s, approximately 5ft 7inches tall, of heavy build with dark hair and stubble.
He was wearing a grey hooded top and light grey track bottoms.
It is not believed that anything was stolen during the incident.
The man was not injured as a result of the incident.
Detective Sergeant Keith Wilson is appealing for anyone with any information about this incident to contact detectives at Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
