Belfast man loses arm in cement mixer accident

A man’s arm was severed when it became trapped in a cement mixer at a primary school in Ballymurphy.

The incident happened at St Bernadette's Primary School on the Glenalina Road yesterday.

The man has undergone surgery at the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald and his condition has been described as comfortable.

The Health and Safety Executive will now investigate.
