Two men robbed a house in south Belfast on Wednesday and ordered one of the people inside to a cash machine at knife point.

Police have appealed for information following the aggravated burglary in the Stranmillis Park area.

Shortly after 10:40pm police received a report that two males entered a house in the area with one man armed with a large kitchen knife.

Four men were inside the house during the incident, with one of the men threatened by the man armed with the knife. The male was not injured during the incident.

The males then proceeded to take the phones and wallets of those in the house. The male threatened at knife point was then taken to a nearby cash point and ordered to withdraw a sum of money. The two males then made off from the scene.

One of the men is described as being 6”2 in height, brown hair and stubbly brown beard. He was wearing a grey jumper and grey hat. The second man was described as 5”8 in height and wearing a blue coloured hooded top.

“Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1332 21/11/18," Detective Sergeant Moffett said.
