Belfast man stabbed in neck on Christmas Day

A man was stabbed in the neck.

A man in his 50s was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in the neck in Belfast on Christmas Day.

Police have appealed for information following the stabbing as the man was walking between the White Rocks and Turf Lodge area.

The victim was verbally abused by three men and then one of the men stabbed him in the neck at around 11am.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to non life threatening injuries.

“Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dash-cam footage at that time from the area to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 551 25/12/18," Sergeant Ferguson said.

"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
