Belfast moped woman in hospital after road collision

Police in Belfast are appealing for witnesses following a collision on the Holywood Road in which a woman riding a moped was injured.

The collision, involving a red Skoda Octavia taxi and a silver Yamaha moped, occurred at the junction of Parkgate Avenue at approximately 11.30pm, on Saturday May 13.

Constable Jeffrey said: “The 61-year-old woman riding the moped was taken to hospital where she continues to be treated for her injuries.

"We believe a  number of people were in the area at the time of the collision and we would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened.

Officers investigating this collision can be contacted by police at Strandtown on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1426 13/05/17.
