Belfast pair arrested in historical child sex abuse probe

Two men have been arrested by police investigating allegations of historical child sex abuse.

The men, aged 53 and 55 were arrested in Belfast on Tuesday morning.

This is in relation to an investigation into allegations of serious historical sexual child abuse in the Co Down area, police said.

They were taken to Antrim police station to assist police with their enquiries.

UPDATE: The men were later released on bail pending further police enquiries.
