Belfast pensioner in court over child porn offences

A Belfast pensioner appeared in court today accused of child porn offences.

Frank Malone (75) faces charges of making and having indecent photographs or pseudo photographs of children.

He is further accused of being in possession of extreme pornographic images.

All of the alleged offences relate to an incident in January of this year.

Malone, of Cromac Wood Court in the city, was brought before Belfast Magistrates' Court to have the charges put to him for the first time.

A PSNI officer said the pensioner could be connected to the case.

District Judge Fiona Bagnall agreed to a six-week adjournment.

Malone was released on continuing bail to return to court on July 16.
