Belfast school Annadale Grammar school brought to book

An old Belfast grammar school which counts the First Minister among its alumni is the focus of a new book.

Annadale Grammar closed in 1989 but the south Belfast school's spirit is kept alive by a former pupils' association.

The school educated boys from 1950-1989 and DUP leader Peter Robinson was among those who went there.

The book – Annadale Grammar School 1950-1989 – is being officially launched today.

The cover was designed by Belfast Telegraph cartoonist Stevie Lee, also a past pupil.

All former pupils are invited to tonight's launch which will take place in the assembly hall of Wellington College at 7.30pm.

Contact Bobbie Armstrong at fashionsport@btinternet.com or at 18 Clevely Park, Belfast, BT8 6NB, for a copy of the book.
