Belfast Telegraph Runher challenge returns with Co Down event
The first of the year's Belfast Telegraph Runher events returns on Friday evening with a run at Rockport School and Seapark, Holywood.
The event is a ladies-only walk, jog, or run offering a 5km and 10km option.
The 5km start is from the pitches at the back of Rockport School at 6.30 pm running down onto the coastal path and finishing in Crawfordsburn Country Park.
The 10 km event start is at Seapark, just outside Holywood with staggered starts from 7pm. Access to Seapark itself will be very limited from 5:00 pm except to residents and officials.
Runners are advised to be dropped off, park slightly further away (close to the Dirty Duck in Holywood is handy) and walk/jog to the event start, or take public transport. There is a train station in Holywood about a mile from the start.
There is no parking available in the school grounds. Cars can be parked on the Seahill Road, although space may be limited. Participants are encouraged to get dropped off, use public transport, or car share where possible to get to the race start. There is a train station at Seahill on the Bangor–Bangor line, with a short walk down a lane to the school.
Shuttle buses are provided at Crawfordsburn from 7.30pm to 10.30pm to return runners to their starting point.
