Belfast Telegraph scoops six media awards
The Belfast Telegraph has won a raft of coveted industry awards.
The paper was named Newspaper of the Year at the prestigious Coca-Cola CIPR Northern Ireland Media Awards, recognising the best newspapers and journalists in Northern Ireland.
It was also named Daily Newspaper of the Year at a glittering awards ceremony in The Mac on Friday evening.
Deputy editor and columnist Gail Walker scooped the award for Feature Journalist of the Year, while consumer correspondent Claire McNeilly was named Business Journalist of the Year.
Deborah McAleese's story 'Provo spy is a Derry school's deputy head' won Scoop of the Year. And Weekend was named magazine of the Year.
Meanwhile, sister paper The Sunday Life was named Sunday Newspaper of the Year and one of its journalists, Sara Girvin, won the Martin O’Hagan Newcomer Award.
