BGT star dies after battle with cancer

By Staff Reporter

The Britain's Got Talent contestant who won the hearts of the nation with her dancing dog has died following a battle with cancer.

Tina Humphrey rose to fame with her border collie Chandi when she reached the final of the ITV talent show in 2012, eventually finishing fourth.

The 45-year-old suffered from metastasised melanoma for over a year before she died on May 12.

The school teacher, from Shrewsbury, was rarely apart from her blue merle border collie, who won four Crufts finals before dying in 2013.

Tina's husband Steve said: "I am devastated that she is gone, but I'm happy that she is no longer suffering and she is at peace.

"I love her so much. She was, and is, my person."
