Biker in hospital after Belfast M2 crash with car

A biker was left in hospital after a crash between a car and their bike on Saturday afternoon just outside Belfast.

The crash happened on the M2, just after the Fortwilliam off-slip toward the city, at around noon.

Paramedics and passers-by were seen administering first aid to the motorcyclist on the road. The rider was later transported to the Royal Victoria Hospital by ambulance.

Medics were put on standby at the Accident and Emergency usually meaning injuries are serious. 

The biker's condition is not known.

Following the crash there were long delays around the city as the emergency services worked at the scene.
