Biker killed in Coalisland collision

A 26-year-old motorcyclist has died following a road traffic collision in Coalisland.

Police in Dungannon are appealing for witnesses to the collision which took place on the Annagher Road at around 3pm on Saturday.

The collision involved three vehicles, including a Honda motorcycle and an Audi A4.

Anyone who was in the vicinity at the time and who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Dungannon police on 0845 600 8000.

This was the fifth motorcyclist to be killed on Northern Ireland's roads this year. Last night, SDLP councillor Jim Cavanagh described the collision as a tragedy.

"It's not the first casualty on that road and it's not the first motorbike rider to die as well," he said.
