Blaze extinguished at farm sheds storing fuel

Around 50 firefighters tackled a large blaze at a farm where fuel was being stored.

Shortly before 5pm yesterday crews were alerted to a blaze involving two sheds on the Bush Road between Coalisland and Dungannon.

According to area commander Brian McClintock, up to nine appliances attended the fire.

"We arrived around 5pm after being alerted to a fire on the Bush Road - originally we heard it was a van but when we got there it involved a few sheds," he said.

He said one of the sheds contained a quantity of liquid petroleum gas that may have fuelled the fire.

Mr McClintock said the "reasonably large" blaze was finally extinguished at around 6.30pm.

No injuries were reported.
