A body has been recovered from Lough Neagh by police searching for missing 62-year-old woman Dolores Hughes.

The body was recovered by Lough Neagh Search and Rescue on Saturday.

Inspector Keir Kitt said that formal identification has not yet been carried out on the body, but that the Hughes family have been informed.

Mrs Hughes went missing on June 6 and was last seen in the Moy area on June 5.

The grandmother and mother-of-four is from the Grange, a rural area just outside Armagh city.

A red Audi A3, which Mrs Hughes was driving on the day she was last seen, was discovered close to the Blackwater River shortly after she went missing.

Police and volunteer rescue teams began searching a nine-mile stretch of the river after reports that a woman had been seen entering the water.
