A crude bomb has been found after a security alert between two train stations in Belfast caused disruption for passengers.

It was discovered by Army bomb teams in the Donegall Avenue area of south Belfast.

On Sunday night, the alert between Great Victoria Street and Adelaide Halt resulted in the line being closed.

According to Translink, train services through these stations may be subject to disruption on all routes at short notice.

"An estimate for the resumption of normal services will be provided as soon as the problem has been fully assessed," it said.
