A bomb has been taken away for examination following a police raid on a house in Lurgan.

Police investigating serious crime evacuated residents from their homes in Crozier Park when the explosive was found during a planned search of a property.

Bomb disposal experts have declared the object a 'viable explosive type device' and taken it away for further examination.

The road has reopened and police said the search of the house would continue, but it is safe for residents to return to their homes.
