Boy aged as young as 12 'who pretended to be workman' sought over cash and jewellery robbery

boy aged as young as 12 'who pretended to be a workman' is being sought by police after cash and jewellery were stolen during a burglary in east Belfast.

The young suspect - who is thought to be aged between 12 and 14 - pretended to be a workman after he was confronted by the householder's daughter.

It's understood the theft happened shortly after noon in the My Lady's Road area on Tuesday.

After being confronted in the property, the young suspect left.

It was then discovered cash, cameras and several items of jewellery as well as a boy's silver bike, had been taken.

Police have said the suspect is between 12 and 14-years-old, approximately 4' 10' tall with short, spiked, blonde hair and of stocky build.

He was wearing a grey cotton tracksuit bottoms and grey top.

They have appealed for information.
