Can you help Bassett Hound Molly find loving home for Valentine's Day?

By Allan Preston

As Valentine’s day approaches, one lonely soul is hoping puppy love is in the air after a six month wait.

Beautiful Bassett hound Molly, aged nine, has been described as a “wonderful dog” with tonnes of love to give.

But so far she has sadly been overlooked by potential owners visiting the Ballymena Dogs Trust.

Her carers are now calling for that special someone to give Molly the forever home she’s been pining for.

“All of us at the Rehoming Centre adore Molly as she is such a special girl,” said Oonagh Phillips, Rehoming Centre Manager at the Dogs Trust.

“However we are concerned that she misses having a family to call their own. She’s a super dog with a fantastic personality so we just can’t work out why nobody wants her. All of us at Dogs Trust Ballymena are hoping, this Valentine’s Day, somebody out there realises Molly is their ‘pawfect” match.”

Her carers say Molly would be suited to a home where she will be showered with affection and that she could live happily with children over the age of 10.

Her ideal day is described as an afternoon exploring the great outdoors “before snuggling for an afternoon snooze on a comfy bed.”

They added: “She loves delicious doggy treats and lots of cuddles.”
