Cancer Focus Northern Ireland plea over shortfall in volunteers

A charity has warned it urgently needs up to 250 volunteers to help with street collections and bag packs in the run-up to Christmas.

Cancer Focus Northern Ireland said it was under "serious pressure" and urged people to spare a few hours.

Volunteer co-ordinator Morag Chambers explained: "Many business and organisations are willing to let us hold collections and events on their premises, but we just don't have enough volunteers to do the work. We are under serious pressure."
