Cannabis with a street value of £3.8 million has been found smuggled in a lorry load of pizza cheese.
The drugs, weighing 380kg (838lb), were found in the early hours of Tuesday when Border Force officers stopped and searched a British-registered lorry at Dover's Eastern Docks.
The investigation was passed to the National Crime Agency (NCA) and a 46-year-old man from Ballymoney in Northern Ireland has been bailed while inquiries continue.
Paul Morgan, director of Border Force South East and Europe, said: "Seizures like this demonstrate how Border Force officers are at the forefront of the fight to keep illegal drugs and other banned substances out of the UK.
"Working with law enforcement colleagues like the NCA we are determined to do all we can to prevent drug trafficking and put those responsible behind bars."
