Car burnt out in attack on Bangor home

A car was burnt out and windows smashed during an attack on a house in Bangor in the early hours of Friday morning.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the arson attack in the Fernmore Avenue area around 1.40am.

It was reported the front window of the house was smashed, the passenger window of the car broken and a petrol can thrown inside.

Extensive damage was caused to the car as a result.

Three males, believed to have been involved in the incident were seen making off from the scene.

Inspector Hanna appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

“Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist police with their investigation to contact officers in Bangor on 101 quoting reference number 108 of 30/08/19," he said.

"Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
