Car damaged in arson attack in Co Antrim

A car has been set alight during an arson attack in Co Antrim.

The blaze happened outside a house on the Soldierstown Road in Aghalee at around 10.45pm on Monday night.

It is believed the passenger side window of the black Vauxhall Meriva was damaged and fuel was poured into the vehicle, police said.

Fire crews were called to the scene before extinguishing the blaze.

Significant damage was caused to the car. Police believe the fire was started deliberately.

They have appealed for information.
