A popular Co Tyrone pizza outlet has been forced to close for several weeks after a car slammed through the front wall, demolishing the entire shop front.

No staff or customers at Pizzarack in Coalisland were injured in the smash, which happened in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Pictures show the devastation that was caused by the vehicle's impact. On its Facebook page, Pizzarack said: "Unfortunately due to someone driving through the front of the Pizzarack late last night we will be closed for a few weeks until we can get things cleared up and back to normal.

"Thankfully, he didn't kill himself - or anyone else - and thankfully no staff or customers were in the shop at the time."

A 37-year-old man was arrested by police a short time later but was released on police bail pending further enquiries.
