Car hijacked by two men in Londonderry

Two men, reportedly armed with a knife, hijacked a car in Londonderry on Sunday morning.

Shortly before 5am, two men stood in the middle of Prehen Road and forced the driver of a silver Citroen C4 to stop.

The pair, one possibly armed with a knife, then ordered the male driver to get out of the car before making off in the vehicle.

The hijackers wore dark clothing with hoods pulled up.

Although the driver wasn't injured in the incident he was left badly shaken.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident to contact CID at Strand Road on the non-emergency number 101.
