Car set on fire at St Kieran's Primary School polling station in west Belfast

A car has been set on fire outside the polling station at St Kieran's Primary School in the Dunmurry area of west Belfast.

There were unconfirmed reports of the car being driven erratically in the area before it was set ablaze at about 7.30pm on Thursday.

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service dealt with the fire that had been started in the rear of the Renault Clio before the polls had closed.

After the fire was extinguished voters returned to the polls to submit their ballots as the deadline for voting loomed.
