Police are appealing for information after a car was set on fire in south Belfast on Sunday.

Shortly before 4:35am a blue Fiat 500 was set alight in the McClure Street area.

The car was extensively damaged, but no none is believed to have been injured. Two males were seen running from the vehicle at the time of the incident.

Chief Inspector Robert Murdie said: "I would ask anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact Police at Musgrave Street on the non emergency number 101.''
