Car set on fire outside Belfast nightclub

A car has been set on fire outside a Belfast nightclub.

It happened at around 3.30am on Wednesday at Bradbury Place in the south of the city.

A nearby shop front was scorch damaged in the blaze, police said.

The road had to be closed during the morning commute because of the damage caused and to allow for the clean-up.

Inspector James Ellson said: “At this stage we believe that the vehicle was deliberately set on fire. Investigations into a motive are ongoing.

“We are appealing for anyone with information who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area to contact Police at Musgrave on 101 quoting reference number 78 of the 8/3/17."
