Cars torched overnight in Carmoney, Ballycraigy, Derry

Three cars were torched overnight in Carmoney, Ballycraigy and Londonderry - two with petrol bombs.

A car parked near a house in Queens Avenue, Carmoney was set on fire by a petrol bomb shortly after midnight on Sunday.

 The car was extensively damaged, but no one is believed to have been injured.

Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and the fire was extinguished.

Shortly after 1.50am, it was reported that a car parked close to a house in Craighill, Ballycraigy was extensively damaged by a petrol bomb thrown at the vehicle.

And an arson attack was reported at 7.30am on Sunday in Sandale Park, Londonderry.

A red BMW Coupe was set on fire.

Witnesses to any of the attacks should call police on the non-emergency number 101.
