Charity support after exams

A leading helpline service for children and young people has put some top tips together for pupils in south Belfast who have just received their exam results.

Paddy Shannon, assistant director of the NSPCC’s ChildLine in Northern Ireland, said the charity was there for anyone who wanted advice or support.

“We want to let them know that ChildLine is there for them and can help beat exam result stress,” he said.

“There can be so much pressure on young people to do well in their exams but their whole future is not determined by them.

“We want to tell them that they are not alone — there is always someone who can listen.”

Children and young people can call ChildLine on 0800 1111.
