A charming portrait of Princess Charlotte - taken by her mother - has been issued to celebrate her fifth birthday today.

Princess Charlotte marks her birthday just a few days after her younger brother Prince Louis celebrated his second birthday.

The Covid-19 lockdown means that the princess will celebrate with her close family - mother Kate, Duchess of Cambridge; father Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge; and her two brothers, Princes George and Louis.

They will be spending the day at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, the Cambridges' Georgian country house close to the Queen's residence at Sandringham. The princess, who was born in 2015, is fourth in line to the throne, after her grandfather Prince Charles, her father Prince William and elder brother, Prince George.
