A 10-year-old girl has been struck by a lorry in East Belfast as she was riding her bike.

The Upper Newtownards Road at Ballyhackamore was closed in both directions on Thursday morning, between the Holywood Road and Sintonville Avenue.

The child was treated at the scene then taken to hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The crash happened near the Tesco Express store.
