Children left in hysterics after Belfast gun attack
A woman has said her young grandchildren were in hysterics after a gunshot was fired into their home.
The attack happened in the Oldpark area of north Belfast on Sunday night. Seven people were in the house on Ballymoney Street when the shot was fired after 7pm.
Grandmother Denise said her family members were covered in glass following the attack.
"The kids were in a terrible state, they had to be taken from the house screaming," she told UTV.
Denise said the shot reached the living room door and narrowly missed her grandson.
"He could see into this kitchen, he could blatantly see there were two children sitting in this kitchen and as far as I'm concerned he set out to murder people," she said.
Denise said she doesn't know why her family were targeted but has expressed concern that it could happen again.
Police are appealing for information.
