More than 100 Northern Ireland sleepers have given up a night in their beds for charity.

Some 120 fundraisers pulled on their sleeping bags at Stormont at the weekend for Action for Children NI's annual Byte Night event.

The sponsored sleep-out helps to support the charity's work in preventing youth homelessness.

Action for Children Northern Ireland director Dawn Shaw said: "Our critical work at Action for Children Northern Ireland with vulnerable young people and families helps to prevent the tragedy of homelessness by tackling the issues that can lead to young people ending up on the streets.

"From individual support for teenagers to working with families facing difficulties, our front line services can prevent problems from spiralling out of control and keep children and young people safe and cared for."
