Christmas comes early to Ballymena
Ballymena has once again become the first town in Northern Ireland to erect its Christmas tree.
Although it's not even Halloween yet, the Co Antrim town's tree has been in place at The Braid for almost a week.
It was installed some 65 days ahead of Christmas Day.
The tree was decorated with its lights this week and will be officially switched on next month.
Ballymena is usually one of the first locations in Northern Ireland to put up its festive tree.
Last year the tree appeared at The Braid at the end of October and was the first Christmas tree in the UK to be lit up, on November 2.
In 2014 the Ballymena tree was lit up on November 3.
In 2010 Coleraine erected its tree even earlier - in September.
Belfast City Council will hold its Christmas lights ceremony on Saturday, November 19.
