A Co Antrim church will host a special Easter exhibition of colourful quilts created by a sewing group who have been hard at work on the project for over a year.

Fifteen craft enthusiasts at St Cedma's Church of Ireland in Larne have produced 12 handmade quilts for display on Easter Sunday.

Anne Marcus, who has over 30 years of experience sewing, said the group have worked on the quilts since before last spring.

"Each quilt has 15 sections, one from each of the ladies. Of all the quilts in the exhibition the one which sums up the message of Easter is the Faith, Hope, Love quilt," she said.

Money raised at the exhibition, which will be held on April 27 and 28 from 2-4pm, will help fund a new parish hall.
