Time is running out to enter our exclusive competition to live rent-free for a year in one of Belfast city centre's most desirable addresses.

The Belfast Telegraph has joined forces with leading property developers Barnett Developments to offer one reader the chance to move into a two-bedroom apartment at Portland 88 for 12 months.

The winner will also receive a bicycle worth £700 from Chain Reaction Cycles.

Two runners-up will win £1,000 each.

The deadline for entries is this Monday, July 22.

Portland 88 is a £19m development and features 88 'smart' turnkey apartments, which are kitted out with the latest cutting-edge 'Smart' Home Intelligence System.

Barnett Developments has partnered with Chain Reaction Cycles to give away a free bicycle to new Portland 88 residents when they purchase one of the building's 'smart' apartments. Located in the heart of the action, Portland 88 is positioned on the Ormeau Road, close to the Belfast cultural hotspots of the Botanic and Queen's Quarters. The stylish new suite of apartments is in a prime position, sitting opposite the city's historic Gasworks site and is a short cycle from the city's thriving business districts.

To inspire residents to enjoy the full city centre experience by living a car-less lifestyle, Barnett Developments has teamed up with Chain Reaction Cycles to offer residents a bicycle worth over £700 when they purchase an apartment.

The luxury apartments, designed especially for city life, provide a dedicated area on-site for safely storing residents' bicycles.

Nick Barnett, chief executive of Barnett Developments, said: "At Barnett Developments, respecting the environment is of the utmost importance and we are always striving to establish new techniques to provide residents with a living experience that will minimise their carbon footprint.

"The beauty of Portland 88 is its central location, which affords residents the ease of living without a car since the best of Belfast can be enjoyed within walking and cycling distance."

Stephen Laird, retail store manager of Chain Reaction Cycles, said: "The central location of the Portland 88 development truly encourages a low-carbon footprint lifestyle to its new occupants as the city becomes much more user-friendly for cyclists in 2019.

"Being able to easily cycle to commute from the Gasworks area to work, see family or meet up with friends in many of the city's cafes really promotes the positive physical and mental lifestyle benefits that Portland 88 residents can expect."
