Co Down man Aaron English missing in Belgium

An appeal has been made for a missing Co Down man who was last seen in Belgium.

Aaron English from Newtownards was spoken to on January 9 when he presented himself at the Belgian Embassy in Brussels.

The 29-year-old was having difficulty in relation to his accommodation.

Temporary accommodation was found and his family were able to pay for his transportation back home.

This was the last contact they had with him.

Despite him being alerted as a missing person through Interpol and the PSNI's International Liason there has been no further information.

Writing on Facebook, a spokesperson for PSNI Bangor said: "Whilst we can alert him in Belgium I know that the power of Social Media has the ability to circulate his photograph all over the world in a matter of hours. If any of our followers do have links in Belgium can you pass this appeal on and in turn ask them to share within the country.

"Aaron is in no trouble whatsoever and his family back home in Ards simply need him to get in touch and let them know he is safe and well."

Anyone with any information is asked to call the non-emergency number 101 quoting the reference CC2018011001019, or alternatively to contact independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800555111.

The public can also PM the PSNI through their Facebook page.
