Co Tyrone woman dies while on holiday in Bulgaria
A Co Tyrone woman has died after being hit by a vehicle while on holiday in Bulgaria.
It is understood the accident happened while the victim, named locally as Roseleen Donaghy, was out walking with her husband Brian, who was also injured.
The couple had travelled to Bulgaria for a summer break from their home in Donaghmore.
The circumstances are being investigated by police in Bulgaria.
The Foreign Office in London yesterday issued a statement. It said: "We are aware of a traffic accident in Bulgaria involving two British nationals. We are providing consular assistance."
A Sunday Mass was held at St Joseph's Grammar School in Donaghmore, where prayers were said for Mrs Donaghy. The congregation also prayed for her husband's recovery.
