Coleraine forward Eoin Bradley taken to hospital after colliding with post

Player suffers broken ribs and a punctured lung

By Claire Williamson

Coleraine forward Eoin Bradley was stretchered off on Saturday after he collided with a post during the Danske Bank Premiership.

The game between Coleraine and Portadown was halted for 18 minutes as medics worked on the Irish League player.

The 33-year-old was taken to Causeway Hospital from the Coleraine showgrounds by ambulance.

He was taken off the pitch to a round of applause from both sets of fans.

Coleraine Football Club later confirmed on Twitter that Bradley "suffered broken ribs and a punctured lung".

"We wish him a speedy recovery", the club added.

Bradley returned to Coleraine last week after a two and a half year stint at Glenavon.

Coleraine defeated Portadown 4-2 to take all three points.
