Colin Murray back on the radio for more Fighting Talk

By Staff Reporter

Colin Murray is back in the chair of the BBC Radio 5 live show Fighting Talk on Saturday.

It comes less than two weeks after he presented his last show on Talksport.

The Belfast broadcaster first presented Fighting Talk between 2006 and 2013, playing judge and jury as panellists tried to earn points for punditry.

In July he said it was "unsustainable" for him to continue to front his popular Talksport show after a buyout of the station by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp, which also owns The Sun. As a committed Liverpool fan, Murray was one of many to boycott the paper after it accused supporters of stealing from those who died.

BBC Radio 5 controller Jonathan Wall said: "Colin is pretending he is not excited, but trust me, he's thrilled to be back on Fighting Talk and I'm delighted he's back too."
