Community in mourning for friends Stuart Robinson and Kelly Watters found dead in Belfast house

By Staff Reporter

Grieving family and friends gathered in mourning on Belfast's Shankill Road yesterday for the funerals of two friends discovered dead in a house.

The bodies of Stuart Robinson (31) and Kelly Watters (42) were found at a property in Klondyke Street on Saturday, January 13.

Drugs were suspected as a cause of their deaths, but it is understood that the results of post mortems carried out on the two people were inconclusive.

Police are now awaiting the results of sophisticated toxicology tests as they try to establish the reason behind the friends' sudden deaths.

Pastor Jack McKee of Belfast's New Life City Church described the deaths as "heartbreaking" and said that the church community had prayed for the two families.

"May we not only show compassion towards families that have lost loved ones in this manner, but may we also have the boldness to rise up as a united community to end this death trade in our midst," Pastor McKee said earlier on social media.
