Council in 'war' on dog fouling
Belfast City Council has declared war on dog owners who allow their pets to foul on streets and parks.
The council has launched a campaign using billboard, bus and radio advertising to tackle its most common complaint.
Launching the initiative, councillor Pat McCarthy said: "There is absolutely no excuse for not cleaning up after your pet."
Mr McCarthy said dog owners could receive a £50 fine while the council can also prosecute offenders.
