Couple and young daughter escape injury after shots fired at house in Derry

A couple and their young daughter have escaped injury after a number of shorts were fired through the window of their house in Londonderry.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following the shooting incident in the Whitethorn Drive area of Derry on Thursday October 15.

Shortly after 10.45pm it was reported that a number of shots had been fired through the window of a house in the area.

A couple and their young daughter, who were in the house at the time were not injured.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information about the incident to contact Detectives in Strand Road on the non-emergency number 101.

Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
