A man is to stand trial over claims he exposed himself and assaulted a woman.

Colin Barry McGeown appeared at Dungannon Magistrates' Court yesterday for a preliminary inquiry.

The 26-year-old, from Charlestown Road in Derrytrasna, outside Craigavon, is alleged to have intentionally exposed himself and assaulted the woman on August 25 last year.

A lawyer for the Public Prosecution Service said there was a case to answer.

District Judge John Meehan agreed with the lawyer's judgement.

The defendant confirmed he understood the charges levelled against him.

He also declined to call witnesses or give evidence on his own behalf during the short court hearing.

Judge Meehan set bail at £200 and ordered McGeown to appear for arraignment at Dungannon Crown Court next month.

As part of his bail terms, the defendant was banned from entering a specified area of Co Armagh.
