Craigavon stabbing: Man arrested over attempted murder

Police are investigating an attempted murder after a young man was stabbed in Craigavon on Thursday night.

The incident occurred at around 7pm in Clanrolla Park, Moyraverty.

The victim, a man aged in his 20s, sustained a number of stab wounds following an altercation involving the driver of a dark coloured car.

He was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains in a critical condition.

Police arrested a 26-year-old man in Dungannon on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

He is currently in custody assisting officers with their enquiries.
