Crash boy is moved to hospital in Belfast

By Steven Alexander

A little boy who was injured in a car crash in which his mother died has been transferred to a Belfast hospital.

Siobhan Hutcheon, who was originally from Londonderry, was killed last weekend when the car she was travelling in with her three young sons was in collision with a bus on the Letterkenny Road near Newtowncunningham in Co Donegal.

One of the boys, Jake (8), was being treated in Altnagelvin Hospital, but has now been transferred to the Royal Hospital in Belfast where his brother Ben (4) has been treated.

Their older brother Callum (12) is now home after being treated for a broken arm. The children are understood to be in a stable condition.

Around 1,000 people attended Mrs Hutcheon's funeral service in Muff, Co Donegal, earlier this week. She was later buried in Derry.

Mrs Hutrcheon's husband Warren had spent the week dividing his time between the hospitals in Belfast and Derry.

A relative said Mrs Hutcheon had lived for her children.
